In view of the annual turnover of Kins club leadership each year, special effort is required to provide all club leaders with appropriate instruction for the tasks they will assume. The annual district assembly is the major leadership training event in each Kins Foundation district.

The district assembly offers motivation, inspiration, Kins Foundation information and new ideas for clubs’ officers, and key committee members of each club. Some of the most experienced district leaders conduct informative discussions on all phases of Kins administration and service projects. The assembly gives all participants valuable new ideas to make their clubs more effective and interesting. Usually eight to ten delegates from each club are invited to attend the training session.

Another important feature of a district assembly is a review by the incoming district assembly leadership team, review of the program theme and emphasis of the communications from the president. District goals and objects are also described and plans are developed for their implementation.

The success of each Kins club shall frequently be determined by the club’s full representation and participation in the annual district assembly.

The governor plans and directs a district conference and other special events.

The Kins District Conference

One of the most enjoyable and rewarding privileges of Kins membership is the District Conference. A district conference is for all club members in the district, not just for club officers and committee members. The purpose of a district conference is for fellowship, good fun, inspirational speakers and discussion of matters which make one’s Kins membership more meaningful. Every person who attends a district conference finds that being a Kinsman or Kinette becomes even more rewarding because of the new experiences, insights and acquaintances developed at the conference. Those who attend a conference enjoy going back, year after year.

These meetings are considered so important that the Kins Foundation president selects a knowledgeable Kinsman or Kinette as his personal representative to attend and address each conference. The program always includes several outstanding entertainment features, interesting discussions and inspirational programs.

One of the unexpected benefits of attending a district conference is the opportunity to become better acquainted with members of one’s own club in an informal setting. Lasting friendships grow from the fellowship hours at the district conference.

The Kins Clubs

Kins Clubs are started by members from other Kins clubs or community members who contact the District Governor and ask to start a Kins club in their community. Each Kins club shall have a membership determined by its leaders. Each Kins Club has a leadership team composed of;

  1. The President
  2. Vice President
  3. Secretary General

  5. Treasurer

Weekly meetings are a major activity in the club; a meeting point is decided, a day of the week and time is decided. It may include drinking and eating and at times some form of entertainment. Acquaintance activities such as introductions will be scheduled each meeting. This will help professionals and business people to know each other and link up to strengthen their services. Prospects will always be invited to participate in these weekly meetings before they decide to secure their membership.

These meetings make it easy and free to share your thinking on any topic, connect with an audience, express yourself with a range of communication tools. Kins Club meetings is a forum where members come to tell stories.

Kins club is an open platform where people come to find insightful and dynamic thinking. Here, expert and undiscovered voices alike dive into the heart of any topic and bring new ideas to the surface.

If you have a story to tell, knowledge to share, or a perspective to offer; welcome home. The best ideas can change who we are. Kins club is where those ideas take shape, take off, and spark powerful conversations. Our purpose is to spread these ideas and deepen understanding of the world.

This is how we create a new model for development conversation. One that supports nuance, complexity, and vital storytelling without giving in to the incentives of advertising. It’s an environment that’s open to everyone but promotes substance and authenticity. And it’s where deeper connections forged between experts and undiscovered can lead to discovery and growth. Together with millions of collaborators, we’re building a trusted and vibrant ecosystem fuelled by important ideas and the people who think about them.

In the weekly meetings members generate ideas on the service projects each club wishes to undertake. The Kins Club is an organization of business and professional men and women gathered together for the purposes of service and fellowship. It is a service club where fellows can find companionship and participate in club programs. This is our good idea.
